Personalised Travel Planning

Planning a trip to a country you don't know well can take hours of research and still leave you with questions. Tell me what interests you, how much time you have and what you'd like to experience. I'll prepare personalised recommendations to help you plan your stay in Poland.

Discover places you’ll enjoy: Suggestions for cities, neighbourhoods and attractions based on your interests, including places to eat like a local.
Know where to stay: Recommendations for neighbourhoods and hotels that suit your budget and travel plans.
Travel without overpaying: Practical advice on trains, buses and transfers to help you choose convenient, good-value options.
Make the most of your time: Suggestions on how to organise your stay and fit in the places you want to see, with time to enjoy them.
I’ll prepare personalised recommendations online, so you can plan your trip before you even arrive in Poland. I’m also happy to arrange a video call beforehand to discuss your plans and answer any questions you may have.

Private Local Assistance in Poland

Sometimes it's simply easier to explore a new place when you have someone local by your side. Whether you're travelling alone, as a couple or with a group, I can show you around and help you feel at ease in a new city.

Explore at your own pace: Visit the places that interest you and take your time to enjoy them.
Get around with ease: Help with local transport, directions and getting from one place to another.
Get a local perspective: Personal recommendations, answers to your questions and insights into everyday life in Poland.
Communicate more easily: Help with the language, from conversations with local people to everyday situations like ordering a meal or buying a ticket.
I'm happy to help in Warsaw and Krakow and I'm open to visiting other parts of Poland.

Roots and heritage trips to your family’s city, town or village

For some people, visiting Poland is a chance to see the places their parents or grandparents came from and feel a little closer to their family history. It can be a moving experience. But getting to a small village and talking to local people when you don’t speak Polish isn’t always easy. I can come with you, help you get around and translate conversations with the people you meet.

Travel with a local: I accompany you to your family’s town or village, including less-visited parts of Poland.
Visit the places that matter: I accompany you to local cemeteries, neighbourhoods and other places connected to your family’s history.
Talk to people: I translate conversations with local residents, relatives or people you’ve arranged to meet.
Feel at ease in unfamiliar places: I help you find your way around towns and villages once we’re there.
Take it at your pace: I follow your lead, accompanying you at a comfortable pace, with time to pause and take it all in.
I don't do genealogy research. But if you already know where your family comes from, I'll help you get there and make the most of the visit.

Questions guests often ask

How much does it cost?

Every request is different, so I price each one individually once I know what you need. You'll get a clear quote before you book.

How far in advance should I get in touch?

As early as you can. My food tours fill much of my calendar, so an early request makes it easier to find time. Planning help can be prepared online, even at short notice.

Do you only work in Warsaw and Krakow?

They're my home base, but I'm happy to travel elsewhere in Poland, including small villages for heritage trips.

What language do you speak with guests?

I speak fluent English and upper-intermediate French. For heritage trips, I also interpret conversations between you and the Polish speakers you meet.

Can you research my family tree?

No, I don't do genealogy research. I help once you know where your family comes from: I'll take you there, interpret and support you during the visit.

Do I need to book a food tour to use these services?

No. You can book travel planning or private local assistance separately, whether or not you're joining one of my food tours.
